"Photo of the Day April 2009"
April is always a funny month here in New Jersey, it could bring a lot of rain, it can be cold or warm but one thing is for sure it certainly brings people out of their houses where they have been shacked up for the winter. You start seeing your neighbors whom you haven't seen in months, the birds & squirrels start seeking out fresh food & homes, flocks of birds can bee seen flying NORTH to return to their summer digs and life in general starts putting a smile on peoples faces. So either way, rain or shine April signals Spring and Spring signals FUN for photographers, myself included. So Thank You for visiting my some times gray galleries over the winter, it's time to start posting some color & life so sit back, relax and enjoy the show, it's bound to get hot in here !

"Rain Brings Life"
Good afternoon everyone, the tests with the SB-900 are going well and I am having a blast with it. Hopefully I'll have the full review done in a few days for your reading pleasure.
I took this shot yesterday while being bored out of my mind. So I decided to sit outside in the cold damp rain on my front porch shooting some bird shots when I noticed my thorn bush presenting some cool water images. So I broke out the Tamron 90mm Macro and started playing with some off camera flash. I have a bunch more images to go through but figured I'd post one for today's POD. I really liked the way the thorn was encased by the water drop and the reflection of the bush behind it coming through and the new flower poking out of the branch drinking up the water for life (hence the title).
I'll put the other shots in my EXTRAS gallery in a little while and add a link here for viewing. Today's weather is again cold damp & cloudy but the rain has held off so far. April showers bringing May flowers stinks but the beauty it brings will be worth it in the end I guess. Enjoy your day folks !
