"Smiling Joe Travels The Globe"
Welcome to "Smiling Joe's" Travel Channel. Smiling Joe has been my good luck charm for about a dozen years now and has sat upon my desk over seeing the daily operations here at Bill Pador Photography. But he seems to be going stir crazy lately from being couped up all winter, so I thought it might be a good idea if he got out for some fresh air and new surroundings for a while. So I have arranged for Joe to take a quick trip to, well 'Around the World" !
With the help of some friends who just happen to be some of the most talented artists & photographers I know, Joe is going to take a journey Cris-crossing across the United States, Canada and then Over Seas to many of the most beautiful places on earth. To prove that Joe has actually gone to the places he will have stories from, he will have his photograph taken everywhere he stops. He'll be reporting in when he reaches a location, send some photos and make a journal entry with who he stays with. You'll be able to check back to this gallery and see the updates as they happen, follow his trip via screen captures from Google Earth, read statistics on how many miles he covers and most importantly see the places he visits when he sends his images in to be posted
The photographers who have agreed to host Joe's stay for a few days each will send in reports on how Joe's behaving, what crazy things he's been up to and take photographic evidence of his adventure as only they can do.
So far Joe is visiting 5 of the 6 Continents & scheduled for 45 Stops in (21) U.S.A. States and 9 Stops in (7) Foreign Countries:

Meet my little buddy 'Smiling Joe' I couldn't find my latest issue of Digital Photographer and while looking around the house for it I spotted an odd scene in the bath room. There was Joe relaxing on the thrown with my missing magazine. OK I can't blame him for wanting to educate himself on the latest Creative Techniques & study some inspirational Images but geez don't you think it would be nice to ask permission to take my stuff?
Joe was preparing for his trip around the world and spent more time in the rest room then Bush spent looking for Weapons of Mass Destruction for cryin out loud, matter of fact maybe someone should have looked in my bath room for those, because Joe left a WOMD of his own in there, does anyone have a match ?
Well I'm going to help Joe pack up for his trip where he'll spend the Spring & Summer of 2009 traveling to all 4 corners of the globe, (is there actually CORNERS on the globe? Isn't it round?) But anyway we'll let you know when he's on his way and where he'll stop first and as soon as he sends me some pictures I'll post them up for you to check out.
