Bill Pador > Hey how's everyone doing this weekend? Me I've been VERY busy lately working my butt off. I just shot the Junior Prom tonight and have a Sweet 16 booked tomorrow night. Talk about a LOT of post processing this week, Whew ! I'm looking at about 50-60 hours easy. Hey it's money in the bank though right! I'm sorry I've been just a little behind on my comments this week, I haven't been feeling well and now all this work but as always I will get to you if I missed commenting on your work the past few days. I did a lot of catching up the last 2 days but I have more of you to get to and I apologize for that. So thank you all for your continued support and have yourself a great weekend.

Oh the shot, it's just a small image of a corsage my daughter brought home from a party the other night I saw laying around and took a quick capture of it, then played with focal point and some framing fun. Hope you like it, it smelled WONDEFUL !

Best Regards,
~Bill~

A Self Portrait using the sun to my back which was low in the sky allowing me to elongate my shadow naturally making it HUGE down the snow covered street !

Bill Pador > This was my second choice for my DAILY gallery today, it was such a nice image I decided to place it here in my Extras gallery so it didn't go to waist. I really liked the shadows showing off the wood grain in the floor and the great colors that blended so well together.

My Selective color image can be SEEN HERE

Thanks for looking

"I NEED YOUR VOTES FOR STATE RUN CONTEST"
PS: If you would like to help me please click here GREAT DESTINATIONS NJ and register (it's Free) and only takes a few seconds, then perform a SEARCH using my name for People or Photos to search for my photos (you can use last or both names to perform the search). My photos will appear and then just pick a few of your favorites and click only the "I DIG IT" to cast your votes. After the first vote is placed a RANDOM photo will appear from another photographer, so either hit your back button to return to my images to cast another vote or repeat the search function.

There is no need to vote for all 15 of my images, just pick 2 or 3 that you like that's all I ask. It's a great place to showcase my art to the entire state of NJ and great free publicity & advertising for my studio and with over $20,000 in prizes that will be awarded possibly some extra cash in my pocket and will be published in a State Sponsored Photo Book too !

Bill Pador > "Crystal Love"
This macro shot was inspired after I used this colored light stand for my crystal glass shot a few days ago (see Junes POD gallery). I used the Nikon D300 internal Multiple Exposure program (2 frames) to create this image by taking the Front (right) exposure 1st and then turning the crystal around and sliding it to the left part of the frame for the 2nd shot, the cameras processor then combines the shots internally and the results above are basically straight out of the camera. The only post done on this is the frame border since it really didn't need anything and I was lacking time to do anything further with it LOL.

Shot in total darkness using Tamron 90mm Di f/2.8 1:1 Macro Lens set at:
SS: 1.6 Seconds
AP: f/13
ISO 200
Bill Pador > SIDE NOTE: *6/6/08 This Image along with a few others will be published in the local news paper. I just received a call from the editor & they want these photos for a bear article they will run. It's always nice to be published locally to get some press coverage*

BINGO ! I've been after great bear shots for a while now and I FINALLY got them Today ! Just about an hour ago my oldest daughter phoned me to pick her up from an after school activity. I had been working a set of photos from a party I shot last week and needless to say I was not happy about having to leave the studio. So as I always do i grabbed my D300 which originally had my Tamron 90mm Di Macro lens attached which I was going to leave on it. Something told me to swap it out for my Nikkor 18-200mm VR so I opened my gear bag and swapped lenses.

I am SO glad I did because while leaving the parking lot of the high school I turned the car onto the main road and looked at a tiny lake located 10' off the road and low & behold this GIANT 300+ lb. Black Bear was at the back of the lake approaching some benches. I just charged the batteries in my MB-D10 pack and started cranking off 8 fps on this beast. Having lived in this area for 12+ years I have NEVER seen a bear THIS BIG before and especially one that had no ear tags yet. Needless to say I have a ton of images to go through but I figured I would post a few in my POTD gallery real quick for you to enjoy. I was able to get within 30' of this guy to take the close ups and he never made any aggressive moves toward me thank goodness. What a beautiful creature I must say and I had never been this close to a bear before. I did stay in the door way of my car just in case I had to make a hasty retreat but he was well mannered and just continued to stare at me as much as I was him. He was actually a well mannered model, better then some people I have to deal with LOL.

So I hope you enjoy my bear story and images, I'll post a few more once I go through them to get different angles of this beautiful example of nature at it's best !

Bill Pador > [11-1-09] - Continuing with my Fall Colors Series, oh and my new toy the 10.5mm Nikkor Fish Eye Lens I give you this earthy image filled with bold color & the feel of being on the space shuttle (In my eyes anyway LOL) Hope you enjoy ! Looks better in X-Large or X2-Large

Bill Pador > "REFLECTIONS OF LOVE"
This image was taken for a contest entry I submitted today with the theme being 'Feathered Friends' so I decided to post if for my POD as well. These Canadian Geese are all over New Jersey & this lovely pair decided to make their summer home around the corner from my house in a near by pond. Their pretty friendly when it comes to photographing them but don't get too close or they will charge while making an awful barking noise LOL. The lake was as smooth as silk with no wind so I decided to grab this shot with the reflections of the birds almost looking mirror like.

Taken with my:
Nikon D300
Lens: Tamron 90mm Di 1:1 Macro used as a Prime
SS: 1/50
AP: f/5.6
ISO 200
Shot hand held while sitting like an Indian using my knee & elbow contact as a tripod. Not much in the way of PP besides a basic unsharp mask application I do to all my photos and the canvas border, so pretty much straight out of the camera as is.

Hopefully these fine feathered friends will earn me another contest win, keep your fingers crossed.

*ATTN: If anyone of you are members of the www.PhotographyCorner.com would you could please take a minute to cast a vote for me (only registered members can vote - membership is free), It's a great site of you don't belong and they run some really nice contest monthly & throughout the year. "Voting doesn't begin until the 30th" I believe so you have time to register and make 5 posts in order to qualify for voting.
I will place a link RIGHT HERE to the voting page once it's posted.

Thanks ~Bill~

This old train is located near my home and is part of a small DISPLAY I guess you would call it of 3 very old train cars & ca-buss. I liked the way the windows were frosted over giving it a Ghostly effect against the blue sky in the background and the hills of rock in front of it.
