Bill Pador > NY City Skyline with the Empire State Building as the focal point. Shot from accross the Hudson River in Weehawkin New Jersey. I was going through some photos I took a few months ago today and decided to do a B&W conversion on this image along with adding a custome frame for my POTD since the weather here was aweful today and I didn't feel very artistic to boot. The original shot was not to my liking because the day was very overcast along with a ton of haze and I had left my circular polarizer filter in my gear bag back at the car which was too far to walk back to retreive it. It would have helped a lot cuttnig through the haze but I figured i would just do it in post. Well it was so bad that even after adding a polarized filter layer using NIK COLOR EFEX PRO 3 the image was still lifeless to me. So Black & White to the rescue! NOW It has some life and with the old pier adding some contrast in the foreground I was finally happy with the image.

Bill Pador > While looking for a good shot of our local water reservoir I noticed this Reward Poster for a lost dog. I couldn't help but notice the LARGE amount this family was offering for their lost pet and thought I would do my part by posting it here on my site to give it some more visibility along with filling a spot in my POTD gallery. So if you live in New Jersey and have seen this dog, make the call and make a sad family happy again ! The poster was located in a rest area of Rt.#23 North in West Milford NJ.
