Bill Pador > This capture is 99.99% "STRAIGHT" Out of the Camera with no alterations or post production work besides a very slight color adjustment on the Red in the Glass Stem. This was shot in my Still Life Studio against a black backdrop, the 'SMOKE' pattern seen on the glass was created strictly from light reflections being bounced from the side & below using a few custom made 'Soft Box' light filters I hand crafted on low (40) watt bulbs and also reflecting some of that softened light off of a clear glass block under the glass and 2 small pieces of tin foil used as reflectors in strategic places. Result: A really cool Natural looking Smoke Effect, a soft Red 'Glow' through out the glass top and making the dice look some what liquidity. I was so happy with the end result of this experiment it made my portfolio

Bill Pador > Gorgeous Las Vegas Mountain Range - Shot from the Alladan hotel on the Strip
Bill Pador > NY City Skyline with the Empire State Building as the focal point. Shot from accross the Hudson River in Weehawkin New Jersey.

I was going through some photos I took a few months ago today and decided to do a B&W conversion on this image along with adding a custome frame for my POTD since the weather here was aweful today and I didn't feel very artistic to boot. The original shot was not to my liking because the day was very overcast along with a ton of haze and I had left my circular polarizer filter in my gear bag back at the car which was too far to walk back to retreive it.

It would have helped a lot cuttnig through the haze but I figured i would just do it in post. Well it was so bad that even after adding a polarized filter layer using NIK COLOR EFEX PRO 3 the image was still lifeless to me. So Black & White to the rescue! NOW It has some life and with the old pier adding some contrast in the foreground I was finally happy with the image.

Bill Pador > While looking for a good shot of our local water reservoir I noticed this Reward Poster for a lost dog. I couldn't help but notice the LARGE amount this family was offering for their lost pet and thought I would do my part by posting it here on my site to give it some more visibility along with filling a spot in my POTD gallery. So if you live in New Jersey and have seen this dog, make the call and make a sad family happy again ! The poster was located in a rest area of Rt.#23 North in West Milford NJ.
Bill Pador > A tree in my front yard getting ready to bud some berries started flowering and figured it would make a great photo. Using my 90mm Tamron Macro lens I cranked it down to f/2.8 to blur the background out and managed to get just the one single flower in focus due to the Tamron 90mm Macros superior handling of out-of-focus areas ("Bokeh"). The SHADOW lower left is actually a full size branch !
